5 Tips to Help You Better Enjoy Your Wedding Day

Wedding planning can be, well… stressful. Between choosing the floral designs, sending out wedding invitations, choosing your first dance song and planning out the seating chart, it can be easy to lose sight of the most important thing – your love for your soon-to-be forever bestie. Our team has worked with thousands of couples over the years and we’ve helped ease the craziness of planning by offering various vendor options, such as uplighing, photographers, wedding planning and of course, music… We do this to make it easier for our brides and grooms to plan their big day with less stress. We’re sharing 5 helpful tips you can use to help you enjoy the BIG day! Be organized: If you’re organized from the very beginning, it will allow for a smooth road to your wedding day. For example, if you know you have already paid your photographer, or assigned someone to pay them, you won’t be worrying about their invoice at the end of the wedding. Don’t be afraid to delegate: People ask all the time: “How can I help?” Our advice is to take them up on their offers. Ask them to arrange for a deli platter to feed your bridal party while you’re getting ready, ask them to give out vendor tips, ask them to make sure the groomsmen have their boutineers. Just know you cannot do it all yourself, nor should you have to. So, take people up on this question and put them to work! Trust your vendors: You’ve done your research and paid good money for your event planning, florist and DJ. Now it’s time...

Employee Spotlight – Marty

This month, we’re bragging all about one of our very talented DJs, Marty Miserandino. Marty has been a mighty force behind the scenes of NuImage, as well as on the dance floors, spinning tunes for thousands of weddings over the last 15 years.  We’re so thankful for his dedication and excitement for working with us and cannot wait for the years to come! We got a chance to connect with Marty and learn more about what drives him on and off the dance floor. When did you start working at NuImage? I started working at NuImage in 2002 after seeing Peter (Owner of NuImage) DJ a friend’s wedding. I was blown away at his MC skills, his energy, class, and how much FUN the wedding was. I was DJ’ing for another company at the time, but knew I had to work with Peter. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made! What is your current role at NuImage? While my main responsibilities are to DJ events, I also try to serve as an advisor of sorts. In addition to DJ’ing I own my own business, a Nationally recognized bicycle shop called Fit Werx in Peabody. The skills I have learned as a business owner come in handy when thinking of new ideas, marketing, etc. What do you like/find the most rewarding about your job? I’ve said it over and over again… There’s nothing better than seeing people have fun and knowing that I was the catalyst to their great time. For people to tell me that I’m the best DJ they ever saw and for clients to come up...

5 Wedding Trends for 2017

Are you planning your 2017 wedding? If so, have you been seeing any new trends you’re loving or hating? Each year we attend hundreds of weddings and certainly take notice of the most popular trends throughout the year. While our 2017 season has not yet kicked-off, we have been noticing new trends (and ones that are here to stay) for the year ahead. Bright Colors: Couples are opting in for brighter colors, louder floral decorations and props to make a colorful statement. Guest Icebreakers: To encourage guests to get to know one other, couples are adding in icebreakers, such as lawn games and interactive food stations, to get people talking. Late Night Snacks: This may have started earlier than 2017, but we don’t see the trend of feeding your guests a second time going away anytime soon. Late night snacks, such as fiesta food trucks, keep guests partying through the night. Charitable Donations: Giving back to a charity of the couple’s choice is becoming more and more popular as a registry alternative. Tech Effects: More couple are opting-in to add ambiance, flair and fun to their reception through lighting, sound effects, live-streaming, Snapchat geofilters and 3D printing. Our team can help you add some seriously cool lighting and effects to your big day – check out how! Thanks for reading and let us know what trends you have been noticing! – Team NuImage!
